8:00 pm - Sarah Jorosz @ Walk Festival Hall, Teton Village
$35, $10 students (ages 6-18 or with valid ID)
Sarah Jarosz
Lucky us, by the time Sarah Jarosz arrives in Jackson Hole, she will just have released the follow up recording to her debut album Song Up In Her Head – “an un-retouched gem” (New York Times), which means we’ll get to hear all her new material. Accompanying herself on octave mandolin, mandolin, guitar, and banjo, Sarah will treat listeners to a mix of new old-timey ballads and innovative covers.
Jarosz’s wise-beyond-her-years songwriting and velvety smooth, powerful vocals have elicited parallels to Gillian Welch (Rolling Stone). Sarah’s original instrumental “Mansinneedof” was nominated for a Grammy in the Country Instrumental Performance category in 2010.
Sarah Jarosz – vocals, acoustic guitar, banjo, mandolin, octave mandolin
Alex Hargreaves – fiddle, background vocals
Nathaniel Smith – cello
