the-j-list.com was born out of our craving for a single, consolidated source to stay in touch with what was going on in the arts & entertainment world in Jackson.
It always felt like too time-consuming of a task to track down the various local papers and scan through them to figure out what was happening on a given day. And even then, we were never sure if we were seeing everything, or if things were slipping through the cracks.
We were tired of the frustration with hearing about some great concert, or art showing, or film premier, and then forgetting about it when the day actually came.
So we created the-j-list.com. We've made it a 60-second process for people to post events to the-j-list themselves, so if you're an artist, a musician, a venue manager, or anyone else with an event to share, you can get it done quickly. We're also always keeping our own eyes and ears open to make sure we've got tabs on everything going on.
